Jan Yordy is an educator and a child therapist who has been working with children and families for over twenty-five years. Working first as an elementary teacher and later as a child counselor and play therapist she holds a Master of Education, a Master of Social Work and certification in Play Therapy with the Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapist. More recently she has become a certified Brain Gym instructor, EMDR and Energy Psychology clinician.

In the last several years Jan Yordy has developed a therapeutic game called, Energy Connection and produced a video/DVD on Indigo Children called Indigo Child, the Next Step in Evolution. Writing a children’s book called, Becoming the Boss of Your Feelings, EFT for Children is her most recent project. Jan Yordy is a popular workshop presenter and conducts workshops locally as well as internationally sharing her innovative tools and insights about working with children.

In the last year Jan, along with two partners, has opened the Integrated Centre for Optimal Learning where they are helping children who learn differently to optimize their learning potential.
